Scaling luxury without compromise
The challenge
As Larroudé’s customer base grew, so did the traffic they brought to their site. More visitors meant more opportunities to drive revenue, but it also meant more pressure to make sure the site experience was driving people to buy.
They ran into challenges optimizing their site when they weren’t able to keep up with a testing process.
Launching a single experiment required coordination between design and development and could take weeks, if not months. With limited time and resources, running tests continuously wasn't realistic.
For a luxury fashion brand, testing wasn't as simple as making a change and pushing it out. Every variation had to feel native to the brand, from the design and messaging to the smallest details of the customer experience.
Larroudé needed a way to increase the pace of experimentation without increasing the team's workload, while ensuring every change still felt unmistakably Larroudé.
The execution
Larroudé brought in Shuttlebase to run the full conversion rate optimization (CRO) process on their site. Within a year, the system had designed, built, and tested more than 40 experiments.
For a brand that moves fast, the results mattered just as much as the speed.
"Shuttlebase is the only partner that lets us test things very quickly, without a lot of effort. That's really at the heartbeat of Larroudé. We love moving fast, and Shuttlebase helps us achieve that goal."
- Enrico Martins, Executive Director at Larroudé
Shuttlebase uses millions of data points to continuously surface opportunities the Larroudé team might not have thought to test. The changes are often small and specific, based on how shoppers are actually interacting with the site.
The first opportunity Shuttlebase found was hiding in Larroudé’s mobile navigation.
The hamburger menu sat on the right side of the header, next to the search and cart icons, where it competed for attention and sat in a spot most mobile shoppers don't instinctively look for navigation.
Shuttlebase hypothesized that moving the menu to the left, where visitors expect to find navigation on mobile, would make the user experience more intuitive. Shuttlebase designed the variant and ran the test.

After running for a few weeks, the variant with the menu on the left won. Something as simple as moving the hamburger menu increased clicks by 9.8% and product listing page visits by 1.4%.
This is the kind of change that sounds trivial in hindsight, but without Shuttlebase surfacing the opportunity, the team likely wouldn’t have tested whether the positioning of the hamburger menu actually mattered. Turns out, it did.
The next opportunity Shuttlebase found was on Larroudé's mobile product detail page (PDP).
The sticky bar at the bottom of the screen displayed the product name, price, and a "Select a Size" button, but it didn't actually let shoppers select a size. Tapping it scrolled them back up the page, away from the buy action.
Shuttlebase hypothesized that placing the size selector directly into the sticky call to action (CTA) bar would remove that unnecessary step and keep shoppers moving toward checkout rather than back to the top of the page. It designed a variant in which the user could select a size in the CTA itself.

After running the test for three weeks, the variant with the shoe size in the sticky CTA won. Add-to-bag clicks rose 3.9%, and purchase conversion increased 4.9%, generating an additional $24,326 in revenue.
Putting the size selector closer to the buy button removed a small point of friction that was costing Larroudé conversions. By removing the friction, Shuttlebase made it easier for Larroudé to connect their products with customers who will love them.
The result
Across Larroudé's site, the compounding effect of testing produced an overall:
- 10% increase in revenue per visitor
- 7% increase in conversion rate
- $1.5M+ estimated revenue increase
- 30× return on investment
"Conversion rate increased by 7%, and again, sometimes it doesn't sound like a lot, but when you put it into the revenue numbers, it makes a huge difference."
- Enrico Martins, Executive Director at Larroudé
The gains came from getting more value from the visitors Larroudé was already attracting, without adding to the team's workload or pulling development resources away from the rest of the business.
Larroudé had been most skeptical about whether Shuttlebase would make changes to their site that didn’t look or feel like their brand, but it turns out that’s what impressed them most.
"As a fashion brand, getting this right was very important to us. We were a little reluctant at first. But in the end, it was really impressive. I don't think anyone can tell there's an AI making those UI changes on the front end."
- Enrico Martins, Executive Director at Larroudé
For Larroudé, the value of Shuttlebase isn't simply running more tests. It's being able to move at the speed the brand operates, continuously find new opportunities, and test them at scale without adding more work for the internal team.
"Shuttlebase helped us increase our revenue by more than $1.5M overall."
Increase in conversion rate in less than 4 months
Increase in revenue per visitor
